My fiance and I went to a bead shop that was closing out and selling off all the inventory at nicely reduced prices.  He goes with me on many, if not most, of my shopping trips, no matter what I'm shopping for.  He's always so patient, following me around or going off to look at things on his own.  He never tries to hurry me.

So, bead shopping takes a lot of time.  Especially when you're on a limited budget.  I wandered around the shop in a fairly systematic path, picking up a few items along the way.  Every now and then my fiance would bring me an item he thought I might like.  There were a lot of other shoppers, as you might imagine, so having him on the lookout for something I might like was a definite boon.  What I didn't expect was to make it to the middle of the little shop and find him with his arms full of packages.  (a lot of the items were packaged up in bulk packages)  I thought he was bringing the items for me to look through, but I was wrong.  The beading bug has bitten him.  He was buying for himself.  I was very surprised and happy.  And not a little envious of some of the items he'd grabbed. lol  We finally finished shopping and checked out.  When the tallying was done, he'd actually spent about $10 more than I did.

Just one more thing about him to love.  :D  Now when I'm working at the table on a necklace or earrings, or such, sometimes he'll get out his tote of beads and make something too.  So far he's sticking to the simple things, but I know that eventually he'll graduate to the more complicated items and then I'll have a partner for Silverbirch Designs.  I'm just wondering what form his beadwork will take.  It will be fun to watch him develop and learn.  And it's great to watch him and my granddaughter making things together.  It's even nicer when it's all 3 of us sitting down and making things.

Ta ta for now.  Happy beading to all you beaders out there.

Bleah! I am currently trying to increase my inventory and get ready for my wedding at the same time. AND get ready for a market show one week after the wedding. Hence the frantic creative burst while trying to reorganize the apartment and clean for company coming from out of town. Thankfully everyone will be staying at a motel and not in our tiny little one bedroom apartment. I could squeeze a couple people in and did offer to, but it would not be comfortable or easy for anyone. lol. So, we now have a reorganized bedroom, and the bathroom has been cleaned. Next is the cluttered living room. The kitchen is hopeless, and will just stay as it is. But, the living room is where we spend all our computer time, and also where I do all my sewing and beading. Thankfully, (well, sort of thankfully lol), I haven't had anyone wanting private readings, so I haven't had that to worry about. That's a relatively new item in my repertoire (selling wise), so I'm not anticipating any great numbers of people beating down the door. It'll take time. And I'm not actively advertising that or the sewing yet. After the wedding, I think. I have enough on my plate as it is.
